Security Manager
In this role you will….
- Provide policy support and technical guidance for personnel, information, and industrial security.
- Support the development and management of procedures for childcare background checks in compliance with DoD and OPM requirements.
- Maintain a database tracking all background investigations.
- Draft, review, and revise security-related SOPs, CONOPS, and implementation plans.
- Prepare and submit monthly program performance summaries.
- Additional duties as assigned
- Expertise in DoD/OPM suitability adjudication.
- Completion of OPM’s Fundamentals of Suitability for Suitability and Fitness Adjudicators course.
- Familiarity with DoD childcare background check policies.
- Knowledge of personnel, information, and industrial security policies.
- Ability to develop and implement compliance programs.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Strong database management and reporting proficiency.
- Experience supporting Navy hospitals or other military healthcare facilities.
- Experience managing security operations in healthcare or military environments.
- Prior experience with Navy Medicine security programs and policies.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in federal or DoD environments.
- U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for a security clearance.
- May be required to move equipment/files weighing up to 50 pounds
- May require sedentary work at least 50% of the time
- Reports to a physical location which occasionally requires the ability to traverse between buildings
- Ability to manage stress with a high degree of maturity/professionalism
- Demonstrated critical thinking and leadership skills and the ability to work well with others
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
