The Office of the Chief Security Officer (OCSO) for the Architect of the Capitol (AOC) is responsible for the maintenance, care and operation of the buildings, grounds, and physical security enhancements of the U.S. Capitol Police, campus wide physical security infrastructure and an off-site campus supporting all legislative branch agencies. OCSO also manages the agency’s internal security programs and policies, including personnel suitability and badging and liaises with other partners regarding security matters.
The Security Escort is primarily responsible for escorting un-badged personnel in areas of the building closed to the public.

Major Duties:
- Follow all safety policies and when required wear the necessary personal protective equipment (reflective vest, hard hat, safety glasses, etc.).
- Escort all un-badged personnel and contractors in areas closed to the public.
- Provide other physical security services as required.
- Must have a current Top Secret personnel security clearance and the ability to maintain such clearance throughout the life of the contract.
- Minimum of two (2), preferably four (4), years of experience in security escorting, access control, military, or law enforcement.
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to walk, sit, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, push, pull, lift, finger, grasp, feel, talk, hear, and make repetitive motions.
- Subject to internal and external working environments which may include extreme cold or heat for long periods of time.
The anticipated compensation range for this position is $54,700-$83,000. Multiple considerations are taken into account when determining the final salary/hour rate, including but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, education and certifications, relevant work experience, related skills and competencies, as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
